Every photograph holds a story!
Threads of Bangladesh
Artist Statement -
This mixed-media piece explores the layered realities of everyday life in Bangladesh through photographic transfers and textures. Drawing from my own images, I bring together moments of movement—rickshaws, crowded streets, tangled wires, and people in transit—capturing both energy and resilience. The layering and distressed surface intentionally disrupt clarity, reflecting how memory, identity, and place are never singular or fixed.
As an immigrant and storyteller, I am interested in what exists between visibility and erasure. Figures appear and recede, mirroring how labor and human presence can fade into the background amid the pace of urban life. The textures both conceal and reveal, echoing the fragmented ways we remember and belong.
This work is not just about a specific location—it is about connection, displacement, and the shared rhythms of survival. It invites viewers to pause, look closer, and consider the stories held within the blur.
